Acoustic Alchemy Review!

Acoustic Alchemy Review
By Josette Lumbruno

Acoustic, the sense of hearing, or the science of sound
Alchemy, medieval forerunner of chemistry, converting any everyday object into gold

Saturday night’s performance of Acoustic Alchemy at Infinity Music Hall brought the definition acoustic and alchemy to life. When you take the science of sound and mix it up with finely tuned instruments and skilled musicians, the chemistry between them is converted into music that takes you to a place wanting more.

It’s one thing to watch and listen to musicians play, but with Acoustic Alchemy there is no separation of musician and instrument, they become one entity. If you stay present while listening, you’ll witness how connected the players are to their guitars, drums, keyboards, and in return those instruments reward us with a sound that we crave more of, similar to eating Chinese food…..a half hour later we’re hungry for more.

So, thank you Acoustic Alchemy for nourishing my heart and soul and filling me up, but leaving me wanting more……..until the next time you return to Infinity!
